Welcome! My name is Rachel, and I write and edit books!

As an editor, I focus my work on helping independent authors, whether new to the world of publishing or experienced, develop and polish their manuscripts. I love working with indies through all aspects of their journey, from the moment they finish their first draft through the moment they hit publish. I make myself available for all of my clients throughout the whole process to answer any questions or just offer support. I offer affordable service packages and flexible payment plans, because quality doesn’t have to be expensive. I promise to never use AI, for anything. I didn’t even use it to create this website. Being an indie author is hard. It can be lonely, overwhelming, and confusing. Your editor should help mitigate that, not add to it. As an author, I love exploring the human condition when faced with impossible situations and terrible circumstances. I write harrowing futures and complicated worlds, focusing on strong characters and the relationships they have with each other and their settings. My strong female characters are all neurodivergent (usually autistic, but sometimes autistic with ADHD) and are often paired with swoon-worthy male characters who allow them to be themselves, fight for themselves, and decide for themselves. There is a focus on mental health, reproductive rights, and the perils of global warming. I enjoy reading dystopian, science fiction, fantasy, and horror and write in all those genres while incorporating romance tropes and themes. If you enjoy romance, revolution, and rebellion, you might enjoy the books I write.
